Mill Barns Wedding DJ

The Best Wedding DJs for your day

On Monday, the 22nd of August, we provided a professional Wedding DJ and photo booth hire at the Mill Barns Exclusive Wedding Venue. Situated in the village of Alverley, the wedding venue is just off the main road from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. The mill barns is a fantastic purpose-built wedding venue which can host a wedding of up to 300 guests. It is perfect for a rustic-themed wedding with lots of reclaimed wood, coloured lighting and water features.

As preferred suppliers at the Mill Barns, we have provided our services here on several occasions, including Wedding DJs, Photo booths, Love Letters, Flower Wall Hire and Worcestershire Wedding Photography. On this occasion, we provided a professional wedding DJ and a three-hour wedding photo booth hire. The bride and groom had previously requested a large selection of music, mainly RNB, house, dance, hip hop, and classic wedding songs, along with a good selection of northern soul for the parents. The main wedding reception room at mill Barnes is a long wooden beautiful room with built-in L E D lighting, and it truly has a fantastic ambience. It is a very long room, and the distance between the bar area and the dance floor is quite long. Wedding DJs need to be aware that it can be pretty challenging to DJ at the venue because the room is so long. It has a built-in sound system, which must be used. Therefore, all DJs can not take their sound system with them. So on this occasion, I took a white starlet DJ booth,

White lighting stands and white gobo projectors for projecting white hearts onto the dancefloor for the first dance. I also used some LED strips to colour coordinate with the wedding theme.

Claire set up the photo booth in the reception area of the wedding venue. John, our photo booth assistant, looked after the guests, issuing them with fun party props, printing out duplicate prints and putting them into the guest book. The children, adults, family, and friends enjoyed the wedding photo booth for many hours.

The evening started with a first dance. Then we drove through the bride's playlist consisting of some eighties music and some general party wedding music. Still, the central classics are from RNB, Hip hop, old-school reggae and dance. The bride and groom's mom and dad were into their Northern soul music and had provided a good half-hour selection of Northern soul songs, which kept the dance floor moving during the buffet period.

I had been a nightclub DJ for many years, particularly in the nineties playing RNB and hip hop. I was the ideal wedding DJ for them. Some artists they had chosen were Sean Paul,  Beanie man, Usher, and Gyptian. The wedding dance floor was packed from start to finish, a truly extraordinary experience for the bride, groom and all guests.

All of our clients get full access to our online event music planner system for advance requests and playlist suggestions.
